Individually, many Star athletes have been recognized over the years for their contributions to team success, earning divisional MCCAA and NJCAA academic and athletic honors.

Success in the classroom is the cornerstone of the Star Athletic experience. Academic retention and completion rates for student-athletes at Lansing Community College are higher than the average student. LCC students receive outstanding instruction from a dedicated faculty, and have a broad array of academic support services available to assist with their performance in the classroom. A growing number of Stars have combined their athletic and academic successes at Lansing Community College to move on to opportunities at four-year colleges and universities.
