EL DORADO, Kan.  – Lansing (Mich.) edged Iowa Central by three team points to take home its second consecutive NJCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championship Saturday at the Prairie Trails Golf Course. Five Lansing runners placed in the top 35, including three in the top 20 with Casey Mossholder leading the way finishing 11th overall with a time of 18:22.22.  Ashley Lindeman (18th), Melissa Ricci (28th), Madison Slater (29th) and returning All American Kaitlin Beyer (35th)  were the top five runners scoring for the Stars. 

With the Stars compiling a total of 103pts to win by three points, Central Arizona and El Paso CC tied for second place with a total of 106pts.  Second place was awarded in a tie breaker to Central Arizona due to their 6th place runner finishing ahead of the 6th place runner for El Paso.  Number one ranked Iowa Central finished 4th with 111pts.  The 8 point differential between 1st and 4th is the closest in NJCAA history.
