Softball wins team and individual honors

With the conclusion of the Stars softball season the team has picked up numerous team and individual honors.  As a team the Stars won their third consecutive Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA)Western Conference Championship and their third consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) District Softball Championship sending them to the NJCAA Softball World Series.  Unfortunately the Stars went 1-2 in their three games and were done at the tournament.

On an individual basis, several Stars picked up honors, led by Rebecca Curtis (Freshman, Saginaw, MI) who earned MCCAA Western Conference First Team honors, All-MCCAA Team, All-Region Team, All Freshman Team, and an All American nomination.  She was joined on the MCCAA Western Conference first team by Gabriell Hoaglund (Sophomore, Cadillac, MI).  Taylor VanZytveld (Sophomore, Calendonia, MI), Connor Proctor (Sophomore, Perrington, MI), Ashley Cross (Sophomore, Caledonia, MI), Brooklyn Dolloff (Sophomore, Ithaca, MI), and Sara Reinhardt (Freshman, Sebewaing, MI) all earned MCCAA Western Conference Second Team honors.  Sara Reinhardt also joined Rebecca Curtis on the MCCAA All Freshman team.
