Men's Cross Country competes at NJCAA Nationals

The Lansing Community College (LCC) Men's Cross Country team capped off the year with a 17th place finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, November 9th.  The  Stars were ranked as high as 15th in the country throughout the season. Dillan Haviland 64th (26:36.53) led the Stars with Jacob Ferguson 71st (26:42.47), Joel Fudge 94th (26:58.55), Chris Davis 123rd (27:35.76), and Aaron Hulburt 125th (27:39.47) rounding out the top five (5) scoring runners and Stefan Carlson 144th (28:02.23) and Austin Savage 175th (28:32.48) completing the individual scores/times for the team.

This is coming off the Stars winning their 23rd straight Michigan Community College Athletic Association championship and winning the NJCAA Region XII Championship as well.

Next fall the championships will be hosted at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA.  This will be the first year since 2000 that Cross Country will be offered at the Division II level, which LCC is a traditional Division II institution.
