Men's Cross Country getting stronger

The men's 8K race started after the women, ever increasing their exposure to the warm temperatures.  This however, did not deter the team from putting on a great performance on the grass.  Alex McCormick and Blake Watson were the top Stars finishing 5 seconds apart in 26:38 (51st place), and 26:43 (56th place).  Shawn Bell placed 84th with a time of 27:28 good for 3rd on the squad.  Next, came in Jacob Ferguson in 27:52 for 115th place.  The Stars 5th runner and was Deion Feldpausch in 28:23.  Rounding out the top 7 for the LCC were runners Max Pasche and Luke Sakkinen with times of 28:56 (185th place) and 28:58 (187th place).  There were a host of other runners competing for the Stars who will get another shot at a great race on the last day of September in Louisville, Kentucky. The men placed 2nd out of 8 community college teams this past Friday, and are looking to continue to improve their 8k times leading into the next several competitions.
