LCC Men's Track Earns Honors at Nationals

With the conclusion of the Stars track season ending at the NJCAA DI Track National Championships in Hutchinson, KS, the Stars brought home a few honors.

Ben Cady was 4th in the 800 in 1:54.6 and anchored the 4 x 800 which was 5th in 7:48.8. Also on the 4 x800 were Austin Shepherd, Trestin Mancillas- Finnnerty and Blake Watson. Blake Watson in addition to being on the relay finished 7 in the 1500 in 4:06.6.  Dylan Rocha finished 8th in the 3000 steeplechase in 9:51.9.   

The women also had an excellent showing with 6 women qualifying for the national championship.  Alex Love and Casey Hadaway finished 13th and 14th in the 10,000 m run.  Ashley Lindeman and Alyssa Mankey ran the 1500 but failed to advance to the finals.  Ashley Lindeman also ran the 5000 finishing 19th.  The women's 4 x 800 relay finished 11th; running on the relay were Ashley Lindeman, Emily Wohlfert, Annika Croswhite and Alyssa Mankey.
