Player of the Year

It was bound to happen.  With the Star's Isaiah Green leading the country in blocked shots, 2nd in rebounding, and 4th in the country in field goal percentage, the awards would pile up.  In scoring over 1000 points in his career at LCC Isaiah was more known for his defensive prowess.  And we all know defense comes from hard work, and hard work is reward.  Isaiah Green led the way in a parade of post season awards earned by several Stars this year.  Green earned NJCAA Region XII 1st Team, All Michigan Community College Athletic Association Team, All-Western Conference 1st Team, Western Conference Player of the Year, Western Conference All Defensive Team, and Western Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors.  The last two being in back to back seasons.  

JaQuaries Furlow was named All-Western Conference 2nd team with Colin Jones being named All-Western Conference 3rd team and Brandon Dingman and Claude Finley receiving Honorable Mention.  

The awards by the players show the continued success of the program lead by Hall of Fame Coach Mike Ingram.
