Large Expectations For Nationally Ranked Stars
Feb 16, 2024

Fresh off of a record-breaking season in 2023 that saw the most wins in school history at 50, the 2024 edition starts with 35 newcomers and 14 returners and a preseason NJCAA national ranking of #4. The Stars travel to North Carolina on February 16th and will stay near Greensboro before traveling to Guilford Tech Community College for a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1:00 PM EST. Lansing's skipper, Coach Cutter, said, "This may be the strongest team we have had yet to date." Cutter feels like the depth of talent is robust and mentioned that the players are ready to leave their mark on the program's storybook history.

Lansing will return to classes on Monday and have seven days back in the Capital City before leaving again for their annual spring trip of thirteen days that will take them through Mississippi and Florida for 17 games before returning home. The Stars will play 43 of their 56 regular season games on the road this year. Coach Cutter commented, " This is partially a cost of success." The Stars have been known to draw big crowds for home games, and this year, it will likely be the same with having so few at Kircher Municipal Field.
