Stars Baseball Opens Season on Saturday

The Lansing Stars baseball team will kick off their 2023 season this weekend in Rantoul, Illinois, at the Rantoul Sports Complex. They will take on nationally ranked Parkland College (2-0) at 10:30 on Saturday the 25th for a nine-inning game and follow it up with Division 1 Lake Land College for a 9-inning game. This will be Lansing's first time taking the field since this fall, and though the expectations are high for this pre-season nationally ranked team, Coach Cutter is very cautious about putting too much into these games, good or bad, early in the season. He stated, " while we understand that every game is important, I encourage our team to seek perspective no matter the time of year. Our early season schedule is extremely tough, and we will come out much wiser and understand what we need to build on."

Lansing will return home on Sunday morning and begin preparations for their spring trip that begins next week.
