‘Perfect Game’ Ranks 2020’s LCC Baseball Team “Top 50 in the Country”

According to 'Perfect Game', the Lansing Community College Stars come into this year's 2020 season pre-rankings at 48th in the country. This ranking includes all the teams at every level of Community College Baseball (D1, D2, D3, and CA).  Brian Sakowski of Perfect Game writes this on the Stars:

"A perennially strong program located in Michigan's state capitol, Jordan Keur's club looks poised for a big 2020. It's essentially a totally new club from a year ago, but that certainly doesn't mean it's without talent, as the recruiting has payed off quite well. Andrew Carson and Benjamin Wiegand both figure to be key pieces in the pitching staff, with Zach Fruit--an Eastern Michigan signee--likely getting the ball on opening day. Two-way player Calvin Johnston came in from CMU at the break and should be an immediate impact guy, while Seth Marano returns following an 8-0 season last year. Freshman righthander Ben Riffe is fully healthy now, and he might have the most upside of all the arms. Offensively, Ethan Collick returns in the outfield and Craig Palidar returns behind the plate, both of whom will play major roles. Johnston will see at-bats as well, and lefthanded-hitting third baseman Chase Bessard should be a major piece right away as a freshman."
